COD remittance refers to the regular payment of COD amount collected from customers at the time of delivery back to the end seller. As an industry practice, the COD collected by delivery executives at the time of door step deliveries is transferred back to the seller at pre-defined frequencies agreed by both the seller and the courier partner. This transfer of funds is known as COD remittance

COD order confirmation

After a customer selects the COD payment option and places an order, the e-commerce platform generates an order confirmation specifically for COD orders. This confirmation often includes details on how and when to make the payment upon delivery.

The shipment has sustained damage during transit, and it may not be in its original condition.

COD collection fee

This is the fee assocaited with collection of cash at the time of delivery levied by courier partners.This fee is used to incentivise delivery executives to collect and safegaurd funds collected at the time of delviery and is also used to cover the charges incurred by courier partners in facilitating collection either via electronic means or hard cash, safegaurding these funds and processing them for remittance. This is usually calcaulted as the maximum of a fixed value or a percetnage of the amount collected


