Consignee is typically the owner of the shipment. It is the person who is finally going to receive the order. There are three stakeholders in the process of the shipment that are consignor, the consignee, and the carrier. Consignor is the seller who ships out the goods via a carrier. A consignee should always be present at the time of delivery.

COD Remittance Cycle

The cycle or frequency at which COD remittance is processed is known as the COD remittance cycle. There are two components to COD remittance cycles - Frequency of remittnace and Delay in remittance. Frequency of remittance (measured in days per week) refers to how many times remittance is processed within a week Delay in remittance refers to the number of days post delviery after which the remittance becomes liable to be processed by the courier partner to the seller. For instance if the seller is on a twice a week 7 day deferred cycle, that would mean remittance against a shipment becomes due 7 days post delivery of the shipment and is processed in tranches two time a week.



FIFO

It is an inventory management technique, where the inventory that is bought the first is shipped first to the customer



User engagement on a website refers to the degree and quality of interaction between users (visitors) and the content or features offered on the website. It is a measure of how effectively a website captures and maintains the attention and interest of its audience.



Lost Shipment

A shipment is considered lost when the courier company can't locate it in any of the places/ports it has traveled through.


