Freigth Charges refer to the cost of movement of shipments from the origin destination to drop destiation. This is function of the weight of the shipment and the distnace travelled. Zones are used as proxies for distance travelled while calculating freight charges and the shipping weight (max of dead and volumteric weight) is used as the metric to measure weight of shipments

RTO Delivered

After three fail attempts of delivery, an order is marked as RTO by the courier company. RTO delivered means that the return shipment has been delivered to the pickup address, i.e. the seller's warehouse.



Consignee

Consignee is typically the owner of the shipment. It is the person who is finally going to receive the order. There are three stakeholders in the process of the shipment that are consignor, the consignee, and the carrier. Consignor is the seller who ships out the goods via a carrier. A consignee should always be present at the time of delivery.


