The Permanent Account Number, or PAN, is a method of identifying taxpayers in the country. The PAN card is a unique alphanumeric identification number, consisting of 10 digits that are assigned to Indian citizens, particularly those who are required to pay taxes.

This is a fixed number defined by courier partners and is used as the dividing factor while calculating volumetric or dimensional weight. The divisor can change from courier partner ot courier parntner or depending on the mode of transposrtation used - Air, Surface or Cargo movement


