Shipping charges

The shipping charges or total shipping cost comprises of the following components - freight cost (extra charges for RTO could be added under this head), cod collection charges, fuel surcahrges any other additional fee (this varies from courier to courier and can increase detrimentally on case hidden charges or costs are added)and GST (18% according to previaling norms)



HSN Code

The term "HSN code" refers to the "Harmonized System of Nomenclature", which is a globally recognized system for classifying goods in a systematic manner. This system makes use of a 6-digit uniform code to categorize over 5000 different products, and is widely accepted and used across the world. India has added 2 more digits to the code to make the codes more precise resulting in 8 digit classification.



SKU

SKU stands for “stock keeping unit” and — as the name suggests — it is a number (usually eight alphanumeric digits) that retailers assign to products to keep track of stock levels internally. If a product has different colors and sizes, each variation has a unique SKU number.



Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance is the service that saves the goods of eCommerce sellers against damaged, lost, or stolen packages. If the shipper has insured his shipment he can get the declared value in case of any of the default situations.


